Natalya slowly and carefully packs her luggage. There is still some time before she officially leaves the landship. She does not have much: just some clothes, books, and letters. Her weapon and maintenance kit were packed separately and already sent to the vehicle beforehand. The girl inspects the belongings she has already checked countless times in her sleep, then suddenly shoves her hand in to pull out a flat, round object from her sewing kit. 'What is this?' Doubt snaps into realization. A felt badge, embroidered with the Ursus Student Self-government Group's logo. What else could it be? 'Isn't this Sonya's?' Rosa opens Istina's locker to take out the tea set, but finds an additional circular object. Under the light, she recognizes it as Zima's, the very first badge they tried to make. 'Oh, that. She said it might fall off or be damaged in battle, so she kept it here.' 'Huh, how very like her.' 'Hmm?' 'Nothing can stop a warrior who's left her heart in her homeland. Doesn't that sound like why Sonya might leave her badge with a friend?' 'Somehow I doubt she put that much thought into it. Maybe she just didn't want to be inconvenienced.' Rosa laughs. After getting permission from Istina, she scrutinizes the badge and notices the felt surface already pilling, with a clearly dented back. It seems the temporary owner tried to repair it, with little success. 'Anna, let me fix this badge.' 'The girl simply nods in return. The tea is ready, but there are still heads missing from the gathering. Istina picks up the teapot and pours the scalding hot tea evenly into their five cups. Feltwork is difficult to restore and remaking it from scratch defeats the promise of 'repairing' something. What about using a different material? Though this would mean redoing all their badges, a problem that must be discussed with everyone present. She mulls over this some more, and quickly realizes why it has been left in the locker till now. With little time before their departure, there is no way to feasibly carry out any possible plan, so all she can do now is— 'Sonya, are you there?' Natalya pushes the door open, and spots an open suitcase with clothes scattered all over the floor. The room's occupant is preoccupied with rummaging through her storage in search of something and does not respond to the door opening or her guest. 'Are you looking for this?' The tall girl gently asks. Sonya turns around, and frowns upon seeing the felt badge in the other girl's hand. Without a yes or a no, she asks: 'Why do you have it?' 'Well... I'd like to make another badge for the group, something more durable and wear-resistant, out of a different material. Any thoughts, General Zima?' 'Then discuss it with everyone. Why's my badge in your hands?' 'I wanted to know your opinion first.' 'I think the felt's fine. It's light. I don't mind if it has to be remade, but—' 'What?' 'If we're making new ones, then make some extras. Just in case. Or maybe if someone else joins us... 'I have a feeling so much is going to happen when we get back.'
