Uika has spent her life living in guilt. Though she stands by Sakiko's side, where she has always longed to be, her heart remains trapped in the past. When she feared that telling the truth would destroy the relationship they had, she found herself paralyzed in place.
When Sakiko was in pain, Uika believed that it was her and her lies who caused that pain to Sakiko, and that there was nothing Uika could do to help her. The end result was that she could not be there by Sakiko's side to support her.
One day, Uika will understand that she cannot simply hide her true feelings beneath a perfect smile. There will come a time when she must face herself.
